TALKTEMPUS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

Your manuscript, script, or notes never leave your device. We do not receive them, store them, or have any way to read them. There is nothing "in the cloud" to protect, because it was never sent there.

What follows is the complete, honest list of everything else we do hold.

1. What we store

If you use Talktempus without creating an account, we store nothing about you at all. The app runs entirely in your browser, and your current talk is kept only in that browser's own local storage on your device. (The optional chat assistant on our marketing pages works differently; see Section 3.)

If you create an account (by entering your email and a one-time code), we store the following, tied to that account:

DataWhy
First name, and last name if you give oneYou enter your first name to start a trial; your last name is optional. We use them to greet you by name in the emails we send you.
Church bundle interestA box you can tick at sign-up if you want to hear about a church bundle discount. It tells us to follow up with you about that, and nothing else.
Email addressTo sign you in, tell you things about your account, and — for accounts on a free trial — send a small number of emails about getting the most out of that trial. See Section 5 to opt out any time.
Subscription plan and trial datesTo know what your account is entitled to
Stripe customer and subscription IDsTo connect your account to your billing, if you subscribe
Talk duration, pace accuracy, section count, and timing mode, per completed talkTo power your session reports and history

That last row is numbers only: how long a section ran, how close to on-pace you were, how many sections a talk had. Never the words of the talk itself.

2. What we never store

3. Who else sees any of this

We use a small number of service providers to run Talktempus, each with access to only the specific data they need to do their job. None of them ever see your manuscript, because we never have it to share:

We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.

4. Local storage and cookies

Talktempus uses your browser's local storage to keep your current manuscript available offline and to remember your sign-in session. This stays on your device and is not sent to us as part of normal use. Clearing your browser's site data will remove it. The chat assistant on our marketing pages also keeps a random ID there so a conversation can continue. When you sign up on our pastors page, your first name and email are held in local storage for a moment so the next page can send your sign-in code, and are then removed from local storage. On those same public pages, the Meta Pixel sets cookies that Meta uses to measure ads. You can block them with your browser's cookie settings or an ad blocker, and Talktempus works the same either way.

Our web server also keeps basic request logs for up to 30 days: the page requested, the time, your browser type and a shortened IP address (its last part removed). We use them to see how visitors move through the site and to fix errors. On our ad landing pages the log also notes simple events, such as whether the page was scrolled or a button was tapped. They are never linked to your account, and they never contain cookies or anything you type.

5. Your choices

6. Children's privacy

Talktempus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect account information from anyone under that age.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests to delete your account, can be sent to hello@talktempusapp.com.
